Book design: first pages of a book
Books usually follow a pattern for the first pages. At first sight, it may seem like quite a few blank pages. Just open a book, and you will notice it.
Which pattern to follow?

Does this seem like a waste to you? Page 1 is also called a flyleaf.
Originally, this piece of paper was used to protect your book. Nowadays, books are always provided with a book cover; the flyleaf still remains a part of a book.
Page 2: Blank
Page 2 is the back of page 1 and remains blank too. Would you like an illustration for your title? Then, of course, this may be provided on this page.

Here you use a quote or a name to whom you want to dedicate your book.
E.g.:
For a person:
“For my mom, who continues to inspire me …”
A quote from your book:
“Seven days in a week should I spend without you.”
